A Brief History of MISING BAPTIST KÉBANG (Convention) Mising Baptist Kebang (Convention) was formed in the year 2005. Initially, it was a fragment mission organization at different disrticts in Assam like Takam Mising Baptist Kebang, Jorhat, Dhemaji Mising Mising Baptist Kebang, Kulajan and so on. Once, the leaders of Mising Baptist Churches felt the need to form a net work organization to unite all the Mising Baptist Churches as under one umbrella and at last the Convention was come into being and named as Mising Baptist Kebang(Convention). We thank God for His marvellous love and we also extant our love and thank to the Mission Secretary of CBCNEI, Rev. Dr. Dusanu Veneiyo and the General Secretary of CBCNEI Rev. 3. Giving emphasis to the essential oness in the Lord Jesus Christ of the churches of Baptist faith and [email protected]>@gmail.com>@gmail.com>

4. Co-perating with the Council of Baptist Churches in North- East India(CBCNEI) to strengthen their unite service in Jesus [email protected]>@gmail.com>@gmail.com>

5. Giving emphasis to the Christian view point in moral and social life of our [email protected]>@gmail.com>@gmail.com>

6. Making manifest the love of God through humanitarian and social [email protected]>@gmail.com>@gmail.com>

7. MBK may seek partners in the task of mission and evangelism with Baptist Churches and Organizations and other like-minded Christian Bodies, Organizations and Churches whichever is interested to work with the Mising people shall approach MBK to determine the terms and condition of which way to work together to extend the kingdom of [email protected]>@gmail.com>@gmail.com>

8. No Church or Mission Organization is encourage to work among the Mising people without making prior information and agreement with [email protected]>@gmail.com>@gmail.com>

OFFICE: There are two kinds of Officers at MBK Office: A) Honorary Officers: President, V/P, Recording and Joint Recording Secretary and their ministry duration is two years. B)Administrative Officers: General Secretary, Mission Secretary, Property Secretary, and Treasurer and their ministrial duration is five years. C) MBK also have Women and Youth Department. 1. A circle depicting our Christian witness to the earth and the specific call of MBK by God to witness the Mising People. “You shall be my witness to the end of the earth”(Acts 1:8). @gmail.com>@gmail.com>@gmail.com>

2. The motto of MBK “ NOLU MO:PI DU:TER LO:PE GILA NGOK DO:YINGEM LUGO BILANGKA” which indicates the basic belief of the organization. . 4. The Mising house inside the circle depicts the unity of Mising people who belong to one family the Church and Worship on God in one [email protected]>@gmail.com>@gmail.com>

5. A Dove flying over the house depicts the present of The Holy Spirit who is with the Mising people to convict of their sin, to guide them to truth and to comfort them in the time of trouble. @gmail.com>@gmail.com>@gmail.com>

Mising Baptist Kebang or MBK is a Baptist churches convention based in Assam, India. It has 6 associations and is spread across 6 districts of Assam.It is an Associate member of the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI),[2] where over hundred churches are affiliated under MBK. The MBK is made primarily of Mishing people, an indigenous ethnic group of Assam.
