A Brief History of MISING BAPTIST KÉBANG (Convention) Mising Baptist Kebang (Convention) was formed in the year 2005. Initially, it was a fragment mission organization at different disrticts in Assam like Takam Mising Baptist Kebang, Jorhat, Dhemaji Mising Mising Baptist Kebang, Kulajan and so on. Once, the leaders of Mising Baptist Churches felt the need to form a net work organization to unite all the Mising Baptist Churches as under one umbrella and at last the Convention was come into being and named as Mising Baptist Kebang(Convention). We thank God for His marvellous love and we also extant our love and thank to the Mission Secretary of CBCNEI, Rev. Dr. Dusanu Veneiyo and the General Secretary of CBCNEI Rev. OFFICE: There are two kinds of Officers at MBK Office: A) Honorary Officers: President, V/P, Recording and Joint Recording Secretary and their ministry duration is two years. B)Administrative Officers: General Secretary, Mission Secretary, Property Secretary, and Treasurer and their ministrial duration is five years. C) MBK also have Women and Youth Department. 2. The motto of MBK “ NOLU MO:PI DU:TER LO:PE GILA NGOK DO:YINGEM LUGO BILANGKA” which indicates the basic belief of the organization. . Mising Baptist Kebang or MBK is a Baptist churches convention based in Assam, India. It has 6 associations and is spread across 6 districts of Assam.It is an Associate member of the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI),[2] where over hundred churches are affiliated under MBK. The MBK is made primarily of Mishing people, an indigenous ethnic group of Assam.
